Utilizing a slightly loose and large action which resembles moving the sinker up and down, it creates a "dogleg" shape and rolls, generating a multi-axis roll action. The leg follows, resulting in a complex and unusual motion.
The deep-groove ring-shaped ribs on the body increase water grip strength and create a unique braking experience. Their positioning opens the fish's mouth, enhancing angler operation. When rigged with a jig head wacky, it delivers direct feedback and a strong response. An alternate approach is using a nail rig with a trout burr set in a body cut in half - it also works as a sinking insect worm, its body legs generating delicate vibrations as it falls.
